Have you ever felt a bit lost while using your iPhone? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. This guide will help you find your way around using the Back and Close buttons.
Where to Look for Navigation Buttons
Navigational buttons on iPhone, particularly the button to go “back”, are found on the top navigation. If you ever feel stuck within an app – as if you’re seeing something unexpected – check the top left and right corners. You’ll likely find a back button (a chevron symbol), or a close button (an X symbol). Tapping on those back and close buttons will typically take you back to the Home screen of the app or at least closer to it.

Navigating our iPhones can be easy – but it helps to understand the navigation patterns it uses first. Then just remember to keep an eye on those helpful buttons in the top corners of your screen. With some practice, these helpful top-corner buttons will become second nature. The more we practice, the more natural it comes to feel. You’ve got this!
